CARNIVAL

Last 27th on February we  celebrated our traditional Carnaval Parede. Children and teachers dressed up and went along the streets singing and dancing. It was good fun.

During the  whole week the pupils from the sixth grade were in charge to tell us what to wear the next day.

Before the Parede second graders were busy getting ready. In one class we were making musical intruments out of recycled material.

Kitchen paper rolls, yogurt cups, empty tin cans, toothsticks, paper tape and imagination were enough to make, rainsticks, maracas, and smalls drums. Meanwhile in the other classroom they were learning about the way people celebrate Carnival in different parts of the world. Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Venice, Cadiz, Brazil,Tenerife. Different traditions and cultures...

We learnt a lot and really enjoyed it.
